Preparation Timeline

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sliced, toasted almonds
  • 2–3 tsp moringa powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp ground green cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp ground dried ginger
  • 1 Tbsp ghee (room temperature)
  • 2/3 cup pitted and chopped dates
  • Sliced almonds for rolling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Put almonds, moringa, cardamom, ginger, and a pinch of salt in a food processor. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
  2. Add ghee and dates. Process until the mixture starts to come together, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl. Take small portions and roll between your palms to form walnut-sized balls.
  4. Roll each ball in sliced almonds if desired and place on a parchment-lined plate or tray.
  5. Chill until firm. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Tips

  • Use soft Medjool dates for easy blending and natural sweetness.
  • Adjust moringa amount for milder or stronger flavor.
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon or cocoa powder for variation.
